Kitesurf Lessons

Unfortunately the club does not and cannot provide Kitesurfing lessons directly. There are a number of reasons for this which include:

We do not have insurance to cover teaching
We do not have equipment (kites / boards) etc
We do not have any instructors

So how can I learn to kitesurf ?

You should use a recognised Kitesurf school, if possible one that is BKSA recognised / approved. At Southend the only approved school is Essex Kitesurf School which is BKSA approved, fully insured and uses BKSA / IKO qualified instructors. Courses are typically run over a weekend although the school do run lessons mid week.

How can I become an Instructor ?

There are many routes to becomming an instructor and you can find out more information at the BKSA website. Essex kitesurf school is now an approved instructor training centre so if you are interested in learning at Southend you can call Simon on the number above to find out more.
